No Safe Harbor

Newburyport Harbor

A ship in a harbor is a safe ship, but that’s not what ships are built for.

And 2020 just keeps on sucking. Had a meeting late this afternoon and guess what…. I’ve been laid off, kinda shitty the way they did it too. Basically I’ll be cut off totally after April 21. I’ve worked with this group for 30 years (well, actually if I made it to September of this year but close enough). I’m not surprised – the writing was on the wall, but I think if they couldn’t find anything for me with my skill set I think that company as a whole is going to be feeling a lot of hurt soon, as a lot of folks already are.

Well, I’ll need some time to process all this. Not feeling so great at the moment but I’ll find a way through it somehow.

We are so sorry. I hope you are proud of the work you have done for them for all these years. You will make it through, but this is incredibly hard. We are thinking of you.
